The culinary academy is a three year program focused on giving students the skills necessary to work in the food/hospitality industry. Students will learn food science, cooking techniques, nutrition, and front of the house/back of the house responsibilities. Students will participate in a variety of academic lessons, hands on activities, guest speakers and demonstrations. While enrolled in the program, the students will explore and experience the fast paced, growing field of culinary arts.
Introduce your future Forensic Scientist to a highly interactive, high-end forensic science program. Students will take a three year journey into the techniques and uses of forensic science.
While in 6th grade students will be introduced to terminology and basic techniques while they learn the past and present uses of forensic science.
As a 7th grader the student will learn the interconnection between life science issues and forensic science. Students will use new techniques to help identify health issues and concerns.
Our 8th graders will take Integrated Science Honors/Intro-Forensic Chemistry where they will solve “crimes” with techniques that they have learned and mastered in their 8th grade chemistry focused class.
